XTEN-AV Expands X-DRAW to Help Integrators Manage Multi-Room AV Design Documentation

XTEN-AV Areas in Design for multi-room AV design documentation

New Areas in Design feature organizes drawings and BOM products by Multi room av room, zone, or floor within a single X-DRAW design.

Las Vegas, USA – June 18, 2026: XTEN-AV will showcase Areas in Design for X-DRAW at InfoComm 2026, a new capability that helps AV integrators organize complex installations by Multi room av zone, room, or floor within a single design. The feature is part of XTEN-AV’s continued effort to make X-DRAW a more connected AV design documentation platform, helping AV integration firms with a structured way to manage area-specific design details and BOM products as projects scale.

For AV professionals working on Multi room av campuses, hotels, educational facilities, corporate offices, and government buildings, design documentation becomes harder to manage as the number of rooms grows. Drawings may be divided across separate files, while equipment lists are often tracked manually in spreadsheets to show which products belong to each space.

Areas in Design Brings that Structure Directly into X-DRAW

AV designers can create named areas such as Board Room, Lobby, Floor 2, or Conference Room inside a single X-DRAW design. When areas are added, X-DRAW Audio Visual AV design software automatically converts the design into a multi-tab view, giving each area its own dedicated space. BOM products are assigned to the relevant areas, while any unassigned products remain visible for review, so nothing gets lost as projects scale.

The feature helps AV integrators and design teams:

  1. Keep multi-room and multi-floor av designs organized inside one X-DRAW file
  2. Reduce manual zone tracking across spreadsheets
  3. Maintain clearer room-level visibility for drawings and equipment lists
  4. Review unassigned products before finalizing documentation
  5. Coordinate complex installations without separating design and BOM data
  6. Organize BOM products by area without maintaining separate tracking spreadsheets.

“Multi-room AV projects require more than a drawing file and a spreadsheet. Designers need a clear way to see what belongs in each space without separating room-level details into separate files,” said Sahil Dhingra, Co-Founder & CEO, XTEN-AV. “Areas in Design gives AV integrators complex installations inside X-DRAW, giving designers a clear way to manage area-specific drawings and BOM details as projects become more complex.”

The update is intended for AV integrators, project engineers, and lead designers handling multi-room or multi-floor installations. It is particularly relevant for projects where teams must coordinate room-level product lists and drawings across multiple spaces while keeping the broader design documentation connected.

Areas in Design also complements XTEN-AV’s Location and Sub-location structure. Together, the features help AV integrators a clearer way to organize large projects from buildings and floors down to individual room and design areas.

XTEN-AV will present Areas in Design for X-Draw at Booth #N8256 in the North Hall, Las Vegas Convention Center from June 17–19, 2026. Live walkthrough will show how integrators can structure multi-area installation scenarios, including corporate campuses and hospitality properties, by room, zone, or floor while keeping area-specific design details and BOM products organized inside a single X-DRAW design.
